The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” But we are redeemed by Grace. Christ paid the penalty for our sin when He died on the cross. All we have to do is believe. Romans 10:13 says For “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

I don’t know about you, but I try way too hard to be perfect in everything I do. It can be so stressful trying to cook the perfect meal, pray the perfect prayer, or write the perfect article. Then, I realize I am depending too much on the broken man God is renewing day by day, instead of the man He is helping me to become.
The Biblical model that God gave us of men being the spiritual leaders in the church and home is not being followed by many Christian men today.

“And the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.’” — Genesis 2:18
In the beginning of time, the scriptures tell us that God created the body of the man named Adam from dirt. Then God breathed His breath into Adam’s nostrils, which gave Adam a mind, a will, and emotions. (Genesis 2:7). Deliberately, God created the man first. He had a specific purpose for Adam.
I’ve been married 30 years, and through those years I’ve seen all kinds of marriages around me. I’ve seen people that have been together for 40+ years that are really bad examples of marriage. I’ve seen people married for three months and it looks like they’ve been together forever.
It’s not about the number of years you’ve been together, but rather what has happened during those years. Are you compatible? Do you have common interests? How well do you communicate with each other? Is your marriage growing?
I recently had the unpleasant experience of my husband being ill for nearly two years. He was diagnosed with an abdominal hernia, the symptoms of which escalated rapidly from the onset of diagnosis.
Because his work included lifting heavy weights, I tried to show him that it was better to lift with his knees as opposed to his method of lifting with his back. He completely ignored me. His diet was another concern of mine.
