I grew up in the church and I made the mistake of separating faith and life. I said the sinner’s prayer at age seven which is what you did to become a Christian. I did it because I didn’t want to go to Hell and that was that. It was escaping the fires of Hell. As a seven-year-old, Hell was scary. There were pictures of men screaming with flames all around. I’m not sure if I knew Jesus at seven, but somehow God didn’t let go of me. After all, I didn’t know much about Jesus, and I certainly didn’t know much about myself at age seven.

I started up my first business at the age of 34. Before that, I was in sales but became very tired of the travel. I sold my corporate stock, bought a franchise and began a 13-year run in small business. It was hard work, long hours and, at first, quite the dip in salary with few benefits.
What a week…business problems, church problems, people problems. It seems all of a sudden that nothing but problems are in my life.
We live in a culture that says treat people the way they treat you. Do unto others as they do to you. But the Bible says do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That means to treat people as you want to be treated- not as you are necessarily being treated.
Where I Started
After leaving the church at the age of 12, I began my journey toward atheism. For 20 years, I believed in the big bang theory, humans were from a cesspool of algae that just happen to be perfect for life, and I began to walk because of my ancestors, fish that learn to live on land and apes that started to walk and think.
Mark 1:17 “And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.'”
Effectively Evangelizing. Throughout my ministry, God has placed so many different people in my path. People from all different walks of life. From the affluent to the poor, from important to not important, and from the religious to the non-religious.
