In the beginning of time, the scriptures tell us that God created the body of the man named Adam from dirt. Then God breathed His breath into Adam’s nostrils, which gave Adam a mind, a will, and emotions. (Genesis 2:7). Deliberately, God created the man first. He had a specific purpose for Adam.

Hugh Hefner died of natural causes at the age of 91. The founder of Playboy magazine was the envy of men the world over. His home—Playboy Mansion—was the location of frequent parties attended by celebrities, politicians, millionaires of all stripes, and of course numerous gorgeous and scantily clad women.

The definition of a Leader is: “the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country.” What word jumps out at you in that definition? For me, the word that stood out the most was…“commands.” We’ve all been part of a group that when it’s time to pick a captain or leader, it’s not always the best person that is selected. Just because you may be popular, funny or loud, doesn’t mean you are a leader.

I’ve been married 30 years, and through those years I’ve seen all kinds of marriages around me. I’ve seen people that have been together for 40+ years that are really bad examples of marriage. I’ve seen people married for three months and it looks like they’ve been together forever.

It’s not about the number of years you’ve been together, but rather what has happened during those years. Are you compatible? Do you have common interests? How well do you communicate with each other? Is your marriage growing?
